After sightseeing in the city, entered the store with a good review on TripAdvisor. For me, Germany has an early dinner time, so the shopping streets are completely closed, and I still had trouble killing time for dinner early. It feels like a family restaurant, and people change and order quickly. The customers were about half the locals and half the tourists, and the English order was smooth. I made a terrace seat to enjoy the feeling of summer, but there were many group customers who seemed to be locals in the store. All the dishes are delicious and convenient if you live nearby, and it is a restaurant that you want to visit from time to time. It's a big restaurant so it might be convenient for lunch when you're in a hurry

What can I say about this place, I really loved it, it has a huge variety of potato marine wicks shapes and as a wide menu so highly recommended if you go to Trier I really liked the cordial treatment and the super attention I will return

The restaurant is very spacious, but even a big number of people (and pets, as the place is pet-friendly ?) doesn’t make it particularly loud. They offer a wide range of local dishes and drinks, including some Trier-specific ones. Delicious!

Food was tasty and served quickly. Afterwards, it took a long time for billing before a waiter noticed us. All in all okay.

You can certainly eat pure potato dishes there. The steak, however, tasted like a snifter that was forgotten in the pan. The most inedible food I was given to eat in a restaurant. In my opinion, mass processing!

Just 4 stars because the chef does not appreciate people who speak nothing other than French and who take a long time choosing dishes. The rest of the staff are lovely. Provide that it is a "fast" restaurant. The dishes are good, plentiful and the prices are correct.

Was good the first two times, third time was a let down. We did not want any drinks so said 'no' when the waitress asked for drinks. Her reaction to us not ordering drinks is something that made us decide to never go back again. It's sad and unfortunate that one staff's behaviour can bring your business down slowly. Suggest the owner/manager to train the staff to understand that it's fine if a customer does not want drinks. It's not fine to shout at the customers for not ordering a drink. Well in the end we did order drinks as we did not want her to be angry. We did order what we wanted to eat, food was good as usual. But never going back again. Suggest not to go there as the staff has expectations from you and gets angry when YOU don't meet their expectations.

Food was ok but there was a lack of love for the preparation. We were there with 5 people and different foods were ordered. It was fine - no question. But it didn't blow any of us

Best German restaurant I’ve been to after 2+ years living in Deutschland. Their potatoes are from a different planet!

Not a very good experience. Last time I ordered potato soup which was unfortunately very salty and one main course was completely missing the meat (baked potato with spinach and poultry). Food was take away. Never again!

Rude staff!!! I can appreciate the Covid virus is a very serious problem but if all your virus related signage is only in German how can you expect your English speaking tourists to comply. The food was also VERY salty.

This place is a MUST! Absolutely amazing traditional German dishes & more! A good selection of wine, and the service is good. Highly recommend reservations as this place gets busy and people unfortunately are turned away.

Corona requirements are implemented. Food and drinks were good. Service was friendly. Prices reasonable.

It's always a pleasure to come back ... kind, friendly staff and excellent German cuisine. Trier is a beautiful town in any season.

The restaurant is well located, the ambience matches the atmosphere, which is very good thanks to the lovely staff. The food is really excellent, I would recommend the spit roast. The cocktails are also skillfully made and very tasty.

Saw the positive reviews and gave it a try. Delicious! Large menu, chose the zweierlei schnitzel.(2 sauces) with an extra side salat. Very very good. Staff is very busy but super friendly and attentive. Recommended! Definitely coming back. Busy place so reserving is a good idea.

It was the first and the last time that we go there. I had heard about it a long time ago, and decided to try, unfortunately on my birthday. Well, they say it's German typical cuisine, but I did not expect it so bad! Fries smelled bad oil and looked like fried a few days ago, I fancied warm porc jambon, but I had cold stuff looking exactly as the cheap packed stuff from the shop, they serve dishes with pickles, instead of some freshly cooked vegetables, and we are still in summer season! Not to recommend! Fries sold on main street close to Porta Nigra are much better (and cheaper!). Staff does not explain anything and does not bother to give some recommendations for their "specialties", very basic level of English, no warm welcome, no smile, no interaction, bringing you "cider" instead of normal apple juice, without asking, three different servers changed... Very disappointed!

Unfortunately, the waiter is not really competent. The drinks are not placed directly on the table, and the plates would not be cleared by themselves when clearing them. The steak, unfortunately, not through enough, but well seasoned. The fries were really not good, and it wasn't even salty. Not enough carbonated drinks. Hoped for a lot but unfortunately disappointed.

Delicious local specialities from Trier. Super delicious potato balls with meat filling in cheese sauce. Service fast and efficient.

Very quick and friendly service. Nice range of German dishes, beer and wine. There are also local options for food and wine. Food is good, but some dishes are a bit pricey. It was a good option to get dinner by 20:30-21h as other places were full or not taking more orders.

After arriving in Trier we found this restaurant via Google maps. That turned out to be a good choice. We walked there from our hotel. On arrival it was quite busy (much busier than at other places we encountered along the way) but it turned out that, while we had not reserved, there was still a table available. While we had put on our masks and disinfected our hands in accordance with the corona rules, we were taken to our table. Despite the crowds, we were served friendly and smoothly. The food tasted great. The place looks, although given the interior, it is a bit dated, but cozy.

Really awesome! Have only been there once so far, but someone knows how to make good food. Top service, super friendly. Food comes quickly and hot. Anyone who comes to Tier should definitely eat here!

Good German food with great service, but pretty pricey compared to other places in town. We have eaten here a few times and we still recommend it to new people in the area.

Lovrly food and plenty of it

The food was really delicious (fried potatoes with meat loaf and Pickantes mince steak). The waitress very friendly and quick. We didn't wait 15 minutes for our meal. Hygiene measures are implemented and observed very well here. We would come back.

Restaurant in Trier's pedestrian area, not far from Karl Marx's house. Wide selection of potato-based dishes (kartoffeln), as well as meat and typical German beers. Perfect for both lunch and dinner times; terrace available. Reasonably priced. Underground parking available at the main square nearby.

Very tasty potatoes with cheesy-creamy-shampignons sause

The food looked and smelled amazing, but the moment I took a bite from the meat i got an extremely nauseous with strong stomach pain, it took the waiter almost one hour to approach and ask if everything is ok, when I explained what happened they apologized and took the meal. I would seriously expect a restaurant like this to have a little bit better costumer service, they did not offer any compensation or even just maybe a courtesy coffe. I said I will return here but It will never happen. *the waiter was extremely nice but that's it, big difference from nice to good customer service. **i guess 10 euro is more important than customer satisfaction, that is something I would expect in Spain, not Germany.

Very children friendly and whole staff totally nice. Food came very quickly. Absolutely delicious. And it is recommended to call in advance as there is always a lot of activity.

Great food, friendly and fast service

I like their service. At the beginning the waiter offered us a table close to the entrance, but then we asked him to give us another one (where we preferred to sit), and he didn’t decline our request. Thanks to him. A girl, who served us, was very kind, and she was able to give me a part of a dish (for a smaller price), because I wasn’t hungry much. This is very good, really, because she was (how it is called nowadays) „customer oriented“. I just ordered a soup (a small portion, so it is just a starter) and a „Blutwurst“. I enjoyed the meal. Thank you guys.
